Springtime on Lord Howe
From Lodge Manager, Libby Grant
As you can see it’s a beautiful day on Lord Howe, it’s springtime at its best!
National Parks has had a department helicopter on the island for the last few days doing aerial spraying of weeds in hard to get areas and delivering material to out of the way areas for future track maintenance. We have been watching the helicopter flying around slinging loads underneath in a remarkable show of flying skills. The only downside is being woken up at what seems to be dawn by a helicopter that sounds like it is landing on the roof!
Our local National Parks Manager sent me these photos of Capella and the southern end of the island which I call Gods Own Country. I hope you enjoy them too.
